Since 1988, Commsplus have been supplying business telecom solutions, network connectivity and telephone systems to businesses and organisations across the South West.
We've had the privilege of working with some of Somerset's biggest names, from Wookey Hole to Somerset County Cricket Club.
Commsplus started life as C&H Communications Ltd, founded by Steve Collard and Ian Hewitt in 1984. For years, Steve and Ian worked to build a brand associated with quality products and quality service.
This picture, taken in 1986, shows them signing a deal with local car merchant Passey & Porter, with Steve left and Ian centre.
In 1984, Steve and Ian were working from Steve's dining room. After two years of hard graft, they eventually moved into their first premises in Weston super Mare, opposite what is now Tesco supermarket. This photo was taken in 1986 and features Ian, left and Steve, right with their engineering vans outside their new premises.
Here are some newspaper clippings from the years 1886 - 1990. After manny successful years as C & H Communications, Steve and Ian merged with Commsplus and Steve later took over as the Managing Director and brought Commsplus to the company it is today. Fortunately, he no longer has the moustache.
For 30 years, we've been supplying the latest telecoms to businesses. Our heritage in Somerset is something we're really proud of.
The Commsplus brand stands for quality of product and service and we are proud to be one of the leading business telecoms providers in the South West.
